Born in Andoain (Spain), Ana Belén Garcia began her musical studies there. At the San Sebastián Conservatory, she earned advanced degrees in piano and harpsichord, as well as an intermediate degree in organ (Esteban Elizondo). She completed her organ studies at the Higher School of Music of the Basque Country, Musikene, with Esteban Landart. She furthered her training with various professors, including Löic Mallié, with whom she studied improvisation. She has also received guidance from different masters such as Brett Leighton, Michel Bouvard, Joris Verdin, Louis Robilliard, Montserrat Torrent, Jacques van Oortmerssen, Daniel Roth, Wolfgang Zerer, and Pieter van Dijk.
She has been a recipient of several scholarships from the Enrique Lartundo Foundation for organ and piano. After perfecting her organ studies with Jesús Martín Moro at L’Ecole Nationale de Musique de Pau, she was awarded the “Mention Très Bien à l’Unanimité” (Distinction with Unanimous Approval).
She has participated as a soloist and accompanist in numerous international concert series in Spain, Belgium, France, Russia, Japan, and the United States, performing music that spans all styles and eras. Committed to new music, she has premiered pieces at various festivals, including the Musical Fortnight of San Sebastián and León (Spain), Croatia, and Lebanon.
She is currently the director of the Lourdes Iriondo music school in Urnieta (Spain) and served as a rehearsal organist and pianist for the renowned Easo Choir of San Sebastián for over 20 years. In addition to being the principal organist of the Basilica of Santa María del Coro in San Sebastián, home to the exceptional 1863 Cavaillé-Coll organ, she has also been the director of the International Organ Festival of the San Sebastián Musical Fortnight since 2022.
