Rachel Perfecto

Rachel Perfecto is a conductor, musicologist, and carillonneur. She is originally from the United States, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in music at Yale University. Thanks to a scholarship from the Belgian American Educational Foundation, Rachel came to Belgium in 2015 to study carillon at the Royal Carillon School ‘Jef Denyn.’ She graduated with the highest distinction and later obtained a master’s degree in musicology with the highest distinction at KU Leuven, as well as a master’s degree in music at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, where she studied choral conducting with Luc Anthonis and orchestral conducting with Ivo Venkov. Since 2021, Rachel has been conducting the Capella of CBM, as well as the chamber choir Cum Gaudio in Sint-Martens-Latem. She is also the head librarian of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra.
