Inge Bollaert

Conductor

Inge Bollaert studied piano with Johan Duijck at the Royal Conservatory in Ghent (Belgium) and also followed choral conducting under the direction of Johan Duijck and Florian Heyerick and completed her studies at the Lemmens Institute in Louvain with conductor Erik Van Nevel and Dirk Snellings. In 1995 she founded the chamber choir El Grillo together with several friends and has been focusing on the a capella repertoire from the Renaissance for almost 25 years. Inge Bollaert has worked with various musicians such as Nicolas Achten, Bart Naessens, Marcel Ponseele, Marnix De Cat, Peter Kooij, and ensembles such as Arc Sonore, Aquil’AlterA, Flanders Recorder Quartet, il Gardellino, Ensemble Polyfoon, and Ensemble Rafik el Maay. She regularly gives workshops as a conductor and currently teaches Musical Training at the Arteveldehogeschool in Ghent.
